About The Author
Author, creative, and devoted animal lover Laurie is a retired floral designer, lifelong journal writer, and storyteller inspired by family life and beloved dogs.
Author Journey
Laurie began her floral design career and developed the artistry that would later influence her storytelling style.
After managing flower shops, she opened her own and built lasting relationships with customers and families.
Laurie was selected as one of nine designers in the United States to create floral work for the Super Bowl in Indianapolis.
Now retired from full-time floral work, Laurie focuses on writing warm, family-centered stories inspired by real life.
Creative Signature
A life in flowers taught Laurie how color, structure, and emotion can tell a story without many words.
Years of journal writing and memorable dreams continue to inspire scenes, details, and emotional honesty.
Sewing, quilting, painting, calligraphy, and crafting shape the handmade feel readers notice in her books.
Family Inspiration
Laurie and her husband recently celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. Together they raised two sons and now enjoy time with their two grandchildren.
Her husband, originally from Venezuela and a United States citizen since 2016, gave Papasito his name. "Papasito" means "the little man of the house," which perfectly fit the dog who inspired her first book.
"Stories rooted in family and kindness stay with readers long after the last page."
